Vibration-based health monitoring under varying conditions : a machine learning perspective
Health monitoring of mechanical systems such as gearbox is a complex task. This complexity increases when the system worked under varying working conditions. Vibrations are a common measure to capture relevant information about the health status of the system. Consequently, direct vibrations modeling is often not possible and requires heavy computation and optimization. Therefore, during the last decades, machine learning methods applied to health monitoring have proven to be an attractive solution to monitor complex mechanical systems. In this presentation, we propose an introduction to health monitoring under varying working conditions using machine learning methods.
