Research
Vibroacoustics is the historical research field of the laboratory. It has
made numerous scientific articles as well as important finalised contracts of research.
The scientific objectives are:

Development of new methods for vibroacoustic predictions at low and mid frequencies to maintain acoustic performances of a truck’s cabin (Renault Trucks) in spite of a weight reduction target (FUI CLIC)

Prediction of the acoustic radiation of complex structures by substructuring approaches. Application to the radiation of the engine compartment of an automobile

Numerical modelling of vibrations from a pseudo-periodically stiffened finite orthotropic plate (applications to the vibro-acoustics issued from some of the piano fronts)

Study of the vibratory propagation in structures coupled to stratified ground surfaces and application to ground level railway crossing plates

Modelling of the vibroacoustic behaviour of stiffened submarine shells through internal structures and submitted to different types of excitations

Collaboration with CEA LETI for the achievement of a digital loudspeaker : MEMS technology (consisting in fabricating hybrid carbon nanotube films - MEMS devices for a novel thin film through a porosimetry measurement, Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) (FUI SONATE) and in a Micro/Nano gauge MEMS microphone for a sound processor (ANR MADNEMS : coll. Neurelec, IM2NP)
